Wyoming Railroad is hiring a Conductor to work on our road and yard crews moving freight across the network. You’ll handle switching, train building, on-the-ground inspections, and customer interchange across some of the most demanding terrain in the Mountain West.
Responsibilities:
- Operate switches, throw turnouts, and couple/uncouple cars safely
- Read and execute switch lists and track warrants
- Inspect railcars and perform required air-brake tests
- Communicate clearly with the engineer and dispatcher via radio
- Handle hazmat paperwork and follow all FRA operating rules
Requirements:
- Conductor certification preferred, or willingness to complete training
- Valid driver’s license and clean DOT physical
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb on and off equipment, and work outdoors in all weather
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and on-call as the schedule requires
- Mechanical aptitude and a figure-it-out attitude
