Wyoming Railroad is hiring a Train Dispatcher to coordinate train movements, crew assignments, and yard operations across our shortline network. You’ll work with conductors, engineers, and yard crews to keep trains running safely and on time across Wyoming.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate train and crew movements across the network
- Serve as the primary point of contact between crews, yard managers, and operations leadership
- Monitor trains, switch lists, and FRA compliance documentation in real time
- Support crew onboarding and maintain personnel records
- Assist with FRA, hazmat, and operating-rule compliance tracking and reporting
Requirements:
- Previous railroad dispatching, yardmaster, or operations coordination experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to make calls under pressure
- Familiarity with FRA regulations and railroad operating rules a plus
- Proficiency with dispatch software, train sheets, and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to work shift work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
